About Us

Capalaba District Meals On Wheels started in March 1976.

We are a community service that operates with the assistance from the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). We receive funding from the Federal and State governments.

As a not-for-profit organisation we rely on the ongoing generosity and commitment of volunteers who donate their time and energy so that we can provide nutritious meals to our clients in either the short or long term.

Capalaba District Meals on Wheels mission is to provide a nutritious daily meal at a low cost to assist people to remain independent in their own homes for as long as appropriate.

Donations

Although much of the work we do at Capalaba District Meals on Wheels is made possible through government funding and client contribution, we rely on additional support in order to deliver the services that do not receive any or are only partly funded.

All donations of $2 and over are tax deductible.
